The best Serbian cured sausage produced by "Bačka" ad was decided by an expert jury at the first competition in making sausages from meat from local farms, organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The jury, which consisted of 21 experts from renowned Serbian institutions dealing with hygiene and food production technology, such as the Institute for Hygiene and Meat Technology in Belgrade, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade, the Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun, the Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad, decided that the brand " the best Serbian sausage", apart from "Bačka", is also won by the products of the agricultural cooperative "Trlić" and the meat industry "Gombit", which made the best products according to the recipe, according to which the sausages contain 65 to 70 first category pork meat and about 20 to 25 percent fat tissue.

The goal of the competition is to improve the brand and competitiveness of domestic producers, and participation in the event, under the auspices of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, as well as the acquisition of the "best Serbian sausage" sign, brings added value to the domestic meat industry and producers, giving their products, in healthy competitive competition, the characteristics brand, said Miroslav Miletić, vice president of PKS.

The "best Serbian sausage" sign is the result of compliance with the standards applied by producers in Serbia. Their main feature is quality, according to consumer requirements, as well as an adequate price in relation to quality. And as such, the product is of the same quality whether it is sold in the country where it was created or in the whole world, explained Miletić.

The most difficult and at the same time the most creative task of any industry, points out the vice president of PKS, is precisely the creation of a brand because it aims to raise the awareness of consumers, both domestic and foreign, about the quality of products of appropriate origin. The Serbian meat industry deserves the trust of consumers, because it has the knowledge and potential to improve its business.

The meat industries "Topola", "Neoplanta", "Carnex", "Yuhor", "Zlatiborac", "Gombit", "Bačka" ad, agricultural cooperatives "Trlić" and "Budućnost" took part in the competition for "The best Serbian sausage". , the independent catering trade shop "Dukat" from Pirot, as well as the agricultural farms of Sava Graorac from Kovilje and Nenad Vojinović from Kuzmin.

The Acting Director of the Veterinary Administration, Nenad Petrović, pointed out that all the events that aim to highlight the quality of the domestic product, expand the possibilities of export on standard markets, but also on new ones, such as China.
Ivan Nastasijević from the Institute for Hygiene and Meat Technology emphasized that the time has come for good products with a national prefix to appear on the market again.

In addition to higher quality products, Nastasijević added, this also enables the connection of the food industry with Serbia's tourist offer and other aspects of the country's economic development.

The winner of the competition, head of production at "Bačka" ad Nebojša Urumović, pointed out that the company will try to ensure that their quality products reach all consumers.

Farmer Nenad Vojinović from Kuzmin said that he applied for the competition in order to motivate the young people in the village as much as possible to follow in his footsteps and together improve the production of sausages.
