AFA Innovation Week will be held again this year in Belgrade from May 20-24.05. and the topic will be "How innovations contribute to the development of the economy and society" with a special focus on finding a balance between economic growth and solving social and environmental challenges and building a society of equal opportunities.
AFA Innovation Week every year presents current trends in innovation from all areas through the inclusion of all domestic potential. New this year are the AFA Innovation Awards. The call is open to all interested parties who want to present their projects and ideas, from companies and startups to institutes and the NGO sector, as well as individuals. The deadline is May 15 for anyone wishing to apply for the annual innovation awards and three grand prix for the most innovative company, institution and individual, as well as special awards for contributions and initiatives in the field of innovation. A novelty at this year's Innovation Week is the teenage stage, where the youngest innovators and creatives from all over Serbia will have the opportunity to present themselves. AFA Innovation Week was also supported this year by Nenad Popović, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia as well as numerous embassies of countries that are leaders in innovation, such as Sweden, Switzerland, Israel, Canada, Australia and Finland, whose ambassadors will actively participate in the work of the conference and share their experiences. Partners in the project are the Canadian-Serbian Business Association (CANSEE) and Impact hub, and representatives of the Digital Serbia initiative, Blockchain initiative, SPK Privrednik and many others will participate in the Innovation Week.
Innovation Week will bring together innovators, inventors, corporate leaders, representatives of the startup community, scientific institutions, governments, investors who will discuss the latest trends and innovations in science, technology, design, creativity, I&R and the development of new products and services. The guests of Innovation Week 2019 will be renowned foreign experts who will share knowledge and information and allow us to capture the world development trend in global technological and economic architecture with special reference to the ethical, moral, legal and political consequences of using technologies.
