Afrodite Mode Collection (AMC) is a private family company founded in 1989 by Afrodita and Milan Bajić. Since 2009, the management team has been strengthened by the entry of the second generation of founders: Branislav and Marijana Bajić.
The main activity of the company is the production and sale of women's ready-to-wear (in the range of sizes from 36 to 50) of top quality and design, intended for all the needs of modern and business women. AMC constantly invests in innovative production technologies, as well as human resources, and they are especially proud of socially responsible business, for which the company has been awarded several times.
The company AMC has 120 employees, owns 2 production plants, 13 retail stores and a branched wholesale network in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. The annual production of AMC is over 80.000 items of clothing, divided into 2 seasons - Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter, where each season has over 15 outfits. Behind each author's collection is a creative team, fashion designers Valentina Obradović and Bojan Bozic, which have been awarded several times and which provide the AMC lady with a sense of satisfaction, confidence and a clear visual identity.

Fashion creators Valentina Obradović and Bojan Božić research the market and collect ideas for their creations based on world trends, which they follow on special fashion platforms, along with visits to numerous fairs. From the commercial, they get information about the best-selling items and what the market demands are, before starting to create the collection itself.
At any given time, the creators are working on 6 collections (in this case it is Spring/Summer 2016 - which is now in stores, Autumn/Winter 2016/17 which is already being sewn in a big way, and Spring/Summer 2017).
The constructor makes by hand all the parts of the garment that the creators imagine, and that is why communication and a well-done sketch are very important in this step, in order to reduce the time of making the pattern. That pattern is further used to make samples (size 38), which goes to the tailor, and then to the seamstress to sew the sample.
After the finished sample, it is validated (is it what the creators envisioned) and verified (is it commercial, i.e. can it be sold) in the team that makes the commercial: sales manager, retail manager and wholesale manager ; creators and head of production. Once the model is adopted, then it goes on to be replicated. Then the hand-made cut parts are lined up on a magnetic board and coordinate points are recorded in order to multiply each cut part in the range of sizes determined by the commercial.
Multiplied sizes are cut by specialized software like "tetris", in order to waste as little as possible, on the width of the material from which the model is made, and printed via a plotter on self-adhesive paper, which is then forwarded to the tailors.
Tailors cut garments and patterns by machine, but most of their time is spent on larger batches. With the help of a modern machine, which itself alloys (rare) the material, laser cuts the material, thus saving about 60-80% of the necessary time in the production time.
The material is alloyed from the roller itself. With the coordinates obtained from the employees via the computer, the alloying of the material can be completed very quickly and accurately.
After stacking those layers of material (the number of those layers depends on the amount of garments that are in the production plan), the self-adhesive printed paper from the plotter is placed. The computer itself identifies the points/lines/dashes where the blade should go.
With this, the company saves manpower, time and increases the precision of material cutting.
The pieces cut in this way (which is very similar to a rosen cake with a large amount of crust) go to the shivara, where they are joined, i.e. they sew the component parts of the garment, sew on the buttons, and finally iron the finished garment.
After the entire production process is completed (from creation to ironing), the goods are sent to the warehouse of finished products, from where they are distributed through the retail and wholesale network. The deputy retail manager works on the distribution plan for the retail outlets, and the deputy wholesale manager takes care of the assortment of the wholesale customers. The main goal of the company is to keep the inventory of finished products as low as possible, because this is a sign of good sales!
