Tears of an angel - Ivana Pešić

  • 250 g of flour
  • 1 baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g margarine
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 2 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 2 spoons of cocoa
  • 2 dl of milk
  • 500 g of cleaned raisins
  • 1 teaspoon breadcrumbs
  • juice of one lemon
  1. Mix flour with baking powder, add egg yolk, whipped margarine, 100 g of sugar, vanilla sugar, cocoa and milk and mix well to get a uniform mixture. Cover the tray with baking paper, arrange the cherries, sprinkle them with 50 g of sugar and breadcrumbs. Pour the mixture over the dough and bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  2. Separately beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar and lemon juice. Pour the beaten egg whites over the crust and return to the oven to bake for exactly 12 minutes.
  3. Take the stake out of the oven and put it in a cool room.
  4. When it cools down a little, put the stake in the refrigerator to cool down completely and for drops to appear on the surface in the form of tears, after which the stake got its name.
