Baklava.

  • 500 g pie crust
  • 100 g of walnuts (chopped)
  • 300 g of walnuts (ground)
  • 150 ml of oil
  • 600 g of sugar
  • 700 ml of water
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 0,5 lemon (juice)
  1. Arrange the peels (cut to match the dimensions of the tray) and walnuts in a tray (30x30cm). Place chopped walnuts on the first two or three crusts, and ground walnuts on the rest.

  2. Cut into cubes, so you can cut each diagonally.

  3. Heat the oil well and pour over the baklava.

  4. Bake for about 20 minutes in an oven heated to 200C.

  5. Cook the syrup from water and sugar, when it boils, cook for another 7-8 minutes. Towards the end of cooking, add vanilla sugar and juice of half a lemon. Pour the hot syrup over the cooled baklava and leave it for a few hours to absorb well.
