The Balkan cheese festival, this time too, presented autochthonous cheeses from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Switzerland and Italy, with different tastes, aromas,

"The festival was born out of the desire to enable visitors to try new and unusual cheeses from small producers, whose cheeses are not sold but are produced only for restaurants," Srba Jovanović, the founder of the festival, told the Beta agency.

During the Balkan Cheese Festival, numerous workshops were held, and one of them was held by Dragan Đorđević, Chef Hedonist Officer from the Association of Authentic Hedonists (AAH!).

One of the many exhibitors was Bogdan Dosković, Goat farm Dosković, from the village of Zvjezd, near Prijepolje. This small producer of goat's milk cheeses has been awarded several times, and perhaps the most significant award was the 1st place at the Ethnic Food and Beverage Fair in 2014 and 2015.

Bogdan Dosković told us that they produce cheese in a traditional way, according to the recipe of their ancestors. The key to quality is in quality "Alpine" goats and impeccable hygiene. By organoleptic examination (taste, smell, appearance) you would never guess that it is goat's milk cheese. There is no "characteristic" taste and smell, which repels many people from this delicacy. Farma Dosković is an example for everyone, and they proudly point out that their cheeses are "half food and half medicine"!

A special attraction at the Festival was the serving of Swiss raclette cheese, which is heated from the top with a special device, and then removed with a knife onto your plate. A few hundred lucky people had the opportunity to try this delicacy for free. With a glass of white wine, of course... The tasting of raclette cheese, the most famous cheese from the Baldemon area, was organized under the auspices of the Embassy of Switzerland.
