Banat benders.

Banatska sajjajka, ingredients:

  • 1/2 l of water
  • 1 small teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 kg of flour
  • half a spoonful of fat
  • 2-3 tablespoons of fat for coating

Banatska savijakice, preparation:

  • Put salt, flour and fat in the water and knead the dough, gradually add the flour, but make sure that the dough is soft. Here I insert that quarter of yeast. Divide the dough into two parts.
  • Roll out each part separately with a rolling pin as much as you can.
  • Spread 2-3 tablespoons of fat on the rolled dough. Roll the dough like a roll.
  • Cut (split) the two resulting rolls into 7-8 cm long pieces.
  • Roll out the obtained pieces with a rolling pin.
  • Gently close the ends of the cut pieces with your fingers and form a smooth ball, making sure that the fat does not come out.
  • Put a large amount of fat or oil in a pan and heat it.
  • Fry the prepared circles in hot oil.

Serve with cheese, sour cream, sour milk, jam...
