Bećar stew with taran.

Bećar stew with taran, ingredients:

  • 1 full tablespoon of lard or 2 tablespoons of oil,
  • 2 large onions or 1 spring onion with fins,
  • 2 bell peppers,
  • 0,5 l of pureed tomatoes or ripe tomatoes that are peeled and finely chopped,
  • so,
  • water about 3 dl.

For the ram you need:

  • one egg,
  • a little salt and
  • enough flour to knead a stiff dough.

Bećar stew with taran, preparation:

  • Clean the onion and cut it into ribs, and if the onion is young, cut the fins into small pieces.
  • Put the onion in heated fat or oil to stew, and during that time wash and cut the pepper into short noodles and add them to the onion to stew.
  • In order for the onion and pepper to be ready sooner, add a little salt.
  • Add pureed tomatoes to the sautéed onions and peppers and cover to cook.
  • While the bećar stew is cooking, knead the dough for the tarana and grate it into a tarana on the large side and sprinkle it with a little flour and mix it so that it does not stick.
  • When the vegetables in the bećar stew are almost ready, add water and a little more salt, and when it boils, put the tarana to cook and stir while doing so, so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pot.

Preparation time about 30 minutes.
