Famous Srem flavors from Bećar, most recognizable in the old recipe for fugitive.

Bećarac, ingredients:

  • 500 g of tomatoes
  • 300 g of fatty pork
  • 300 g of veal
  • 100 g of celery
  • 200 g of carrots
  • 200 g of parsley root
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 2 dcl of white wine
  • bay leaf
  • a leaf of parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed hot pepper
  • beaver
  • so

Bećarac, preparation:

  • Dice the carrot and the peeled tomato. Also, cut celery and parsley root into cubes. Clean the potatoes and cut them into cubes.
  • Cut the meat into cubes.
  • Clean the pepper from the stem and seeds and cut into cubes or noodles.
  • Arrange the meat and vegetables alternately in the pot, and season each row with parsley, pepper, salt and crushed paprika.
  • Pour Bećarac with water and white wine, so that it becomes saturated.
  • Cover the pot and cook on medium heat for about 3 hours. During cooking, occasionally shake the contents of the pot.

Serve with sour cream, to taste.
