Bakers from Serbia this year have the opportunity to show all their skills and abilities at the prestigious international competition, which has been organized by the French company "Lesaffre", one of the world's leading companies in the production and sale of fresh baker's yeast, for ten years now.

The company "Lesaffre Srbija", with the support of the Union of Bakers of Serbia, organizes the selection for the best bakers who will represent our country at this year's "Louis Lesaffre Cup" (Louis Lesaffre Coupe), which will be held in Italy during August.

All interested bakers can send their applications until January 26. After that, in the premises of the "Lesaffre" bakery center, registered professionals will compete in one of three categories: making baguettes, croissants or "work of art". The expert jury will select the best who will make up our national team at the competition of the best bakers of the old continent.

- We invite creative baking professionals to be the first to represent our country at an international competition. In addition to being in the company of top bakers in Europe, our team, which also represents the entire Balkan region, will have the opportunity to be selected as one of the three teams that will compete at the World Baking Championship next year - said Miodrag Jelić. executive director of "Lesaffre" in Serbia.

Jelić emphasized that, in addition to the competitive nature, this is also a unique chance for bakers from Serbia to gain new knowledge and experience that they will definitely use in their further professional work.

After the selection of the best bakers who will make up our national team, the experts of the company "Lesaffre Serbia" will organize several months of training in order to prepare the Serbian team as well as possible for the upcoming competition. In addition to the baking team of our country, teams from twelve European countries will participate in the competition, including Germany, France, Poland, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands and Russia.

The goal of this international baker's competition is to select the best bakers from four continents, who then fight for the prestigious title of the best bakers in the world.
