Members of the Junior Chefs Club of Serbia cooked for the children this year on Christmas Day, in the METRO HoReCa Center, and the food that was prepared was donated to the "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj" Home for children without parental care. Christmas lunch was served at noon, at 119 Braće Jerković Street.
Young chefs gathered around Junior Chefs Club Serbia pays special attention to humanitarian work, so this year alone they prepared and served lunch for about 60 children from Home "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj". The remaining 160 meals were donated to the central kitchen of the Center for the Protection of Infants, Children and Youth. Over the past decade, more than 3000 Christmas meals have been distributed as part of this humanitarian action.
"Christmas is a time when it is important that we all feel the festive spirit and hope, especially our youngest fellow citizens. That's why this year 30 chefs gathered around the Junior Chefs Club of Serbia happily prepared and served a delicious feast for children without parental care, in the 'Jovan Jovanović Zmaj' home, and we hope that this will help us all celebrate Christmas together as it should be. said Nikola Biševac, president of the Junior Chefs Club of Serbia.
The event was supported and graced with their presence by the ambassador of Canada H.E. Kathy Čaba, HRH Princess Katarina Karađorđević and Deputy Ambassador of Israel, Maayan Ben Tura.
As every year, selfless support was also provided by the partners - the company METRO Cash & Carry, in which HoReCa Center prepared this delicious feast, as well as McCain, Kotanyi, Gastromaster and Friglo.
Participating in activities such as organizing a traditional Christmas lunch for children without parental care is part of the METRO company's projects to support the community and provide help to those who need it most.
