Quick Rolls – A quick fix for guests arriving in 2 hours…Yum, yum, yum…

  • 1.5 kg of flour type 400
  • 2 pieces of yeast
  • 7 dcl of milk
  • 2 dcl of oil
  • 6 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 piece of egg
  • Sesame
  • butter (optional)
  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt and oil in a deep bowl. Crumble two yeasts over it. Heat the milk until it is lukewarm and pour it over the other ingredients (it is very important that the milk is lukewarm, not hot, because then the rolls will not rise). Knead the dough.
  2. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until all the ingredients are combined. Then, cut the dough into 12 equal balls. Roll out one ball with a rolling pin and divide it into 4 triangles with a knife. Cut each triangle with a knife in several places, so that the rolled roll is like a cut. Before rolling, if desired, the dough can be spread with butter (for those who like rolls ala croissants) or not (when baked, they taste similar to bakery rolls).
  3. Repeat the process with all the balls, which would mean that we get a total of 48 rolls. Arrange them in trays (the amount is enough for two classic oven trays) on baking paper, brush with a beaten whole egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  4. Leave them to rise for about half an hour and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until they turn golden brown, approximately 10 minutes, depending on the oven.
  5. Serve while warm with some cheese spread or yogurt, as desired.
