Bundevara, an old traditional recipe.

Pumpkin, ingredients:

  • Universal pie dough 1 kg of flour,
  • 2 dl of oil,
  • 1/2 l of water (the dough is kneaded with lukewarm water in winter and cold water in summer) i
  • so.

For the filling you need:

  • 1 kg of grated pumpkin,
  • 10 spoons of sugar,
  • 3 vanilla sugar and
  • 1 dl of oil.

Pumpkin, preparation:

  • Grate the pumpkin, add sugar and mix everything well.

Text:

  • Add salt to the flour, add oil and slowly pour water, stirring continuously to obtain a soft dough. It has to be well made.
  • Divide into 4 parts and make each part well on a board sprinkled with flour.
  • Use your hand to spread the pieces of dough into a thick bun, coat each one with oil or fat, then cover them with a cloth and leave them in a warm room to rest for 30 minutes.
  • The remaining buns are torn apart by hand and stretched at the ends with the fingers to make a larger circle, and then they are spread out on the tablecloth.
  • Separate the ends slightly and make the 5th bun. T
  • it is often sprinkled with warm oil or fat. The filling is applied over the entire surface and the skins are folded (the filling in this case is pumpkin).
  • Water and oil are mixed in a small bowl and the finished dough is sprayed before baking.
  • Bake in a very hot oven at 200C.
  • The baked pie is sprinkled with lukewarm water and covered with a cloth to stand.

I sprinkled the pumpkin liberally with powdered sugar.
