Pepper and plum chutney.

Pepper and plum chutney, ingredients:

  • 2 kg of roasted peppers, peeled and cut into strips
  • 1 kg of plums, pitted and cut into slices
  • 400 g of purple onion cut into strips
  • 400 ml aceto balsamic vinegar
  • 250 g of brown sugar

Spices:

  • fresh ginger 10 gr
  • 1-2 hot chili peppers
  • half a teaspoon of peppercorns
  • half a teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 star anise

Combine the spices together and tie in clean cheesecloth.

Pepper and plum chutney, preparation:

  • Take a larger pan, then put chopped onions, plums and peppers.
  • Add aceto balsamic vinegar and simmer on medium heat for 45 minutes.
  • Add sugar and spices to the gauze, then simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Remove the gauze with spices from the chutney.
  • Stir, then pour the hot chutney into hot jars.
  • Close the jars and put them in a heated oven at 100 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Leave to cool in the oven.
  • Pleasant.
