Caesar salad - Ana Vuletić - Recipes and Cookbook online

Caesar salad - you will find the recipe in many different forms, but I will share the recipe that I like the most and that is ideal for warm days. Caesar salad is quick and easy to prepare and is a great lunch for unannounced guests.

Cardini, an Italian, the owner of restaurants in America and Mexico never originally put anchovies, so don't be fooled by the fact that you will find them in many places and claim that it is the original recipe. This actually came about because Worcestershire sauce has a similar taste. Caesar salad made with anchovies is a big risk for guests to refuse this dish, so I recommend this tried and tested combination that no one has yet refused 🙂

Caesar salad - you will find the recipe in many forms, but I will share the recipe that I like the most and which is ideal for warm days. Caesar salad is quick and easy to prepare and is a great lunch for unannounced guests.

  • 1 head of lettuce (can be mixed with rocket and other salads)
  • 10 pieces of cherry tomatoes (don't overdo it, it kills the other flavors)
  • 300 g of chicken white meat
  • 100 g of pancetta
  • 2 bags of croutons (or 4 slices of toasted bread)
  • olive oil
  • dry herb seasoning (or salt)
  • tartar sauce
  • 1 lemon (or a little wine vinegar)
  • 1 piece of orange
  1. Wash and cut the salad into smaller pieces. Chop the tomatoes into small cubes.
  2. Put the salad and tomatoes in a deep bowl and cover with olive oil, juice of 1 lemon or vinegar and dry herbs. Move and take out on a wider tray or it is originally served in a deep wooden bowl if you have one available.
  3. Spread croutons or toasted bread over the salad. If you like more olive oil, you can add a little more in this step as well.
  4. Fry the strips of pancetta or bacon you have (it is important that it is crispy) and sprinkle over the salad and croutons.
  5. Cut the chicken into strips.
  6. In the same pan where you cooked the bacon, fry the chicken until golden brown. And add her on top of everything.
  7. At the end, pour the tartar sauce. If your tartar sauce is strong, you can dilute it with milk or cream.
  8. Note: You can also use mayonnaise, salad dressing or original Worcestershire sauce.
  9. I prefer tartar sauce because most people like it.
  10. Cut the oranges into rings, cut them in half and place them around the salad as a decoration. I usually eat all the oranges too because they go great in this combination and are extra refreshing.
