Chomlek.
Chomlek, ingredients:
- 2 onions
- 600 g of ground beef
- 3 tablespoons mint (chopped)
- 1 piece of egg
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- salt (if needed)
- 2 dl of white wine
- 1 tablespoon flour
- spice mix (a pinch each)
- 1 teaspoon of ground paprika
- 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
Chomlek, preparation:
- Clean the onion and cut it into cubes.
- Combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, three spoons of chopped onion, a spoon of chopped mint, a little ground pepper and salt to taste in a suitable bowl.
- Mix by hand to obtain a uniform mixture, and then shape smaller meatballs with oiled hands.
- Fry the meatballs in hot oil until golden brown, and take them out.
- Fry the remaining onion a little in the fat from the meat.
- Add ground paprika, flour, remaining mint and spices to taste.
- Add the meatballs, white wine and water to soak the meatballs and mix everything gently.
- Bake at 250 degrees until the excess liquid evaporates.
