Chief Chris Williams gives a lecture to the students of the High School of Tourism in New Belgrade

The Chief will visit Belgrade and Novi Sad at the invitation of the American Embassy on June 11 and 12 Chris Williams, the famous American chef and owner of Lucille's restaurant in Houston.

During his stay in Belgrade, Chef Williams will be a guest of the High School of Tourism in New Belgrade, where he will socialize and exchange experiences with the students of the cookery course through professional discussions. This charismatic American, who captivates with his simplicity and life motto: "If you work hard - you can make your dreams come true", will on that occasion, together with the experienced TV presenter of his colleague Gastronomad - Lepo Brka, record a special of this popular show of the same name. The TV special will begin with Chris and Brka walking around the Belgrade market in Block 45, shopping for groceries, chatting about Chris' professional beginnings, studying in Europe and returning to his hometown of Houston, where he runs a very successful family restaurant named after his grandmother. In the following, Chef Williams will talk with the sellers on the market and the residents of this Belgrade municipality, and then in the school's cooking cabinet, he will reveal his cooking skills and little secrets of the gastronomy of the American South to the new hopes of the Belgrade gastronomic scene, students of the third and fourth grades of cooking with whom will come up with a new dish that will be on the menu of the school canteen from that day on.

Chef Chris Williams - Gastronomad and entrepreneur - owner of a successful family business - travels around the world and promotes the values ​​on which American society is based, such as the entrepreneurial spirit and perseverance, faith in oneself and one's abilities with constant improvement and the effort to make everything that is learned , in some way give back to the local community from which we came, by nurturing the family culinary tradition and family values ​​that, according to Chef Williams, are the basis for any successful business.

About this and much more, Chief Williams, together with the Cultural Attaché of the American Embassy, ​​Drew Giblin, Peter Vasić, owner of Vasic media, Vladimir Todorović, director of the sector for entrepreneurship and start-up business at ERSTE Bank and Dragana Aleksić, owner of the family wineries from Vranje, with the moderator assistance of Sanja Domazet, Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences - talk on 11 June from 06:13-30:15 in the Youth Center at the panel discussion entitled "Feel the taste of American food - you are also an entrepreneur". The venue for this panel discussion is the American Hall in the Youth Center, admission is free and all interested parties are welcome.

Chief Chris Williams will 12.06. as a special guest to participate in the work of the regional conference Foodtalk 2015 in Novi Sad, organized by the Color press group. On that occasion, Mr. Williams will present his professional culinary skills and talk about his experiences, and those present will have the opportunity to try some of his dishes. After his stay in Belgrade and Novi Sad, Chef Williams continues his gastronomic journey with a visit to the American Embassy and Zagreb.
