From Friday 3 to Sunday 5 June, in the Stadion shopping center in Voždovac, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovenian Business Club, a promotional event called Days of Slovenia. Visitors to this favorite meeting place of many Belgraders will, in addition to shopping, be able to feel the spirit of Slovenia in Belgrade, visit an exhibition of photographs of Slovenian cities, learn something about the culture, music, language and tourism of this neighboring country.
The event also has a humanitarian character, because on Sunday, June 5, from 10:14 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., a sales exhibition of handicrafts made by residents with symbols of Slovenia will be organized. Doma "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj" at the initiative of NLB Bank, as well as the handicrafts of residents Center for accommodation and daycare for children and youth developmentally disabled on the initiative of Triglav osiguranje Beograd, and visitors will help the work of these institutions by buying children's handicrafts.
On Friday 03.06. at 19 p.m, officially opens the Days of Slovenia Ambassador of Slovenia, H.E. Vladimir Gasparic, followed by a concert of Slovenian music performed by the Kredarica Society band from Novi Sad and a folklore performance with games from Slovenia performed by KUD from Kostolac. Visitors to the Day of Slovenia will also be able to visit a mini-exhibition of the Slovenian academic painter, Majda Zorko - Gasparič, wife of the Slovenian ambassador in Belgrade.
Now traditionally, for the fourth time, these national manifestations are accompanied by promotions of food, drinks and delicacies of the country that is the subject of these promotional events. So this time, visitors to the Day of Slovenia will be able to try traditional Slovenian delicacies - Prekmurska gibanica and Bledska krempita, which will be prepared by the excellent and skilled confectioners of the Life design hotel from Belgrade. Gastronomic experts from the Slovenian premium brand Kras will be in charge of tasting mortatella and prosciutto. In addition to top quality cured meat products, Kras will also serve the great wine of this Slovenian region - the famous Teran.
The Slovenian brand Gorenje will present its sales range, NLB Bank will provide visitors with information about its attractive banking products, and on Saturday, June 4 at 12:XNUMX, NLB Bank will present the "Prince Marzipan" puppet show to the little ones, and Triglav Insurance will present an offer of a large number of types insurance policy.
The Tourist Organization of Slovenia and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Belgrade will present Slovenia as a popular tourist destination.
Visitors will be able to participate in creative language workshops and watch promotional films about learning the Slovenian language organized by the Infinitiv School of Foreign Languages in cooperation with the Department of the Slovenian Language.
The Society of Slovenians in Belgrade - Sava Society will also present its activities. On Saturday 04.06. at 18 p.m., the choir of this Society will also perform.
Traditionally, there will also be interesting activities for children.
The Stadion shopping center will also be a place of great entertainment during this manifestation through the presentation of Slovenia, its culture, customs and tourism at the Days of Slovenia from 03-05. June 2016
