Donuts.

Pretzels, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 500 g of flour,
  • 3 teaspoons of dry yeast,
  • 2 level teaspoons of salt,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 2 spoons of sour cream,
  • 300 ml of milk.

To coat before baking:

  • 1 egg,
  • 5 tablespoon of milk,
  • if necessary, sesame.

To coat the baked bagels:

  • oil if necessary.

Pretzels, preparation:

For the dough:

  • Pour flour into a deep bowl, add yeast, sugar, salt, sour cream, pour lukewarm milk and knead the dough.
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured work surface and divide it into 4 parts, then divide each part in half (making 8 parts). Take two parts and develop them into a roll shape (of the same length) and cross them (like a braid when making - put one over the other). Join the ends in a circle (slightly pressing so that the dough sticks). Repeat the process with the remaining dough (getting three more bagels).
  • Beat the egg and milk with a fork and put the prepared bagel down.
  • Pour the sesame seeds into a separate bowl, then transfer the bagel from the bowl with the milk and egg to the bowl with the sesame seeds, gently press all over so that the sesame seeds stick to the dough. Do the same with the remaining three bagels.
  • Arrange them in a tray lined with parchment paper. Leave them to stand for 10 minutes.
  • Place the tray with the bagels in a cold oven, turn it on at 200 degrees and bake the bagels for 20 minutes.
  • Take the finished bagels out of the oven and, while still hot, coat them with oil. Cover them with a clean kitchen towel and leave to cool.
