The Youth Center of Belgrade will be the HOME OF HEALTHY FOOD at the beginning of March. TEST, now in its fourth edition, will debut in the Belgrade Youth Center on March 05 and 06, 2022.

During the whole weekend, the strict center of Belgrade will be filled with the smell of baked goods and healthy meals, which will spread from Dom omladine Belgrade, Makedonska 22. TESTIVAL is conceived as a unique mixture of a sales exhibition, inspiring lectures and a series of "testival" show cooking workshops. All lectures and workshops will be hosted by Uroš Bogdanović, a well-known radio host and media consultant. The main theme of TESTIVAL #4 and the workshop will be - salčići (and all homemade puff pastry), a forgotten traditional recipe, which many call Serbian croissants.

TESTIVAL #4 is in a new location! The Youth Center of Belgrade becomes a "testing" stage. A partnership with a cult location in the center of Belgrade, which is a center of culture and education, dedicated to young people, will allow everyone to learn more about the tradition of food culture with TESTIVAL, to learn something, to meet and support small producers of organic and healthy food from Serbia.

More than 45 exhibitors at the sales exhibition of healthy, organic food will offer their products at promotional prices. "Food is the best medicine!" - was the main motto of the great educator and folk doctor Vasa Pelagić. "The well-being and health of the people depends on good food. Only a well-fed man can think properly and work properly and sufficiently." In this name, in partnership with Dom omladine Beograd, the fourth TESTIVAL is being created, with an exceptional program!

All TESTIVALS so far have had their stars, and the fourth one in a row is attended by famous professionals, producers, and great lovers of a good bite and a good drop. On the stage of the Belgrade Youth Center, visitors will be able to see well-known culinary TV personalities and certainly learn a lot, with a free tasting of various delicacies at the end of each workshop.

The tourist organization of the municipality of Ražanj will present a rich ethno-gastronomic offer and perfectly prepared domestic organic food products. Ražanj, as before, presents the Ražanj shoemaking industry. At the beginning of December 2019, this pride of Raznj was registered in the list of the National Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Serbia.

And this TESTIVAL will be a place where professionals and scientists will discuss the intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia. Members of the TESTIVAL Council, prof. Ph.D. Slađana Šobajić, from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade and others. Biljana Đorđević, museum advisor of the National Museum in Belgrade, will present the topics with other speakers at two discussion panels: Food culture in Serbia throughout history and Traditional sweets in Serbia.

TESTIVAL #4 will also host the competition for the best traditional recipe of Serbian cuisine, in partnership with the website Recipes and Kuvar online. At the end of the second day, the best recipe for salčić will be announced, so all visitors will find out who makes the best salčić in Serbia. And the carving master and professional chef, Dejan Ilić, will hold an inclusive workshop for making homemade traditional salčić in cooperation with the Association of Associations for Helping Mentally Underdeveloped Persons of Serbia (Association of MNRO).

The diversity and quality of the exhibitors will show how well the gastronomic tradition of Serbia has been preserved, how much potential there is for development, and the exhibitors, small food producers from Serbia, will have the opportunity, in addition to selling their products and communicating with end customers, to mutually exchange experiences, recipes, advice and ideas .

TESTIVAL #4 is held with the support of the Tourist Organization of Serbia and is included in the official TOS event calendar for 2022.

What is TESTIVAL:

TESTIVAL is the epicenter of HEALTHY FOOD, which is traditionally prepared by small, local producers. Through a rich, meaningful program, the TESTIVAL organizers want to help all people to become aware that they are what they eat. This event tries to find answers on how to eat healthy, how to sensibly enrich your diet with HEALTHY FOOD products without additives and supplements, and thus strengthen your immunity!

So far, TESTIVAL has been held three times: in March 2020 (theme: pasta), in October 2020 (theme: bread) and in October 2021 (theme: vanilla). Salčići and homemade puff pastry are the subject of TESTIVAL #4.

The main goal is to preserve the rich heritage while respecting the various influences that have made Serbian cuisine diverse and special since ancient times.

TESTIVAL was created with the aim of being a multi-layered event that wants to give all participants and visitors the opportunity to show what and how they work to preserve tradition and intangible cultural heritage.

How far we will succeed depends on all of us!
