this is my way of preparing apple cider vinegar. I've been making it for years and it always worked
- 5 kg of apples
- 2 l of water
- 200 g of sugar
- 2 spoons of honey
- Wash the apples well and grate them on the large side of the grater.
- Place grated apples in a large jar, pour water, add honey and sugar.
- Connect the jar, but not hermetically, just cover it slightly because of dust and leave it in a warm place.
- Leave the apples prepared in this way for 40 days, or longer.
- When the water with the apples has acquired the acidity that suits you, strain the apples. Do not mash them, just strain them through cheesecloth.
- The vinegar will be cloudy, but in a few weeks the sediment will settle to the bottom.
- Strain it again and if it is not clear enough then strain it again after a few weeks. Then it will surely be clear enough.
