Homemade strudels - Vesna Pavlović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Homemade strudels.

Homemade strudels, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 300 g of flour,
  • 150 g of margarine,
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder,
  • 100 g of sour cream.

For the filling:

  • if necessary, jam.

For rolling:

  • if necessary, powdered sugar,
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar.

Homemade strudels, preparation:

For the dough:

  • Pour flour into a suitable container, add softened margarine (room temperature), mix in baking powder, sour cream and knead the dough.
  • Knead the dough on a floured work surface, roll out with a rolling pin and cut into three strips with a sharp knife. Spread jam on each strip (lengthwise). Bring the ends together by pressing gently to stick the dough. Turn the other side and cut into strudels of the desired length.
  • Arrange them in a tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Heat the oven and bake the strudels at 170 degrees until golden brown (about 15 minutes, making sure they don't burn).
  • Take the finished strudels out of the oven and, hot, roll them in a mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Leave them to cool.
  • Serve the strudels and serve.

Greasy food

Tip: real, homemade strudels. They melt in your mouth. They taste similar to vanilla. Try it, enjoy!
