Homemade đuvec.
Homemade đuvec, ingredients:
- 500 g of potatoes,
- 2 heads of onion,
- 1 carrot,
- 1 teaspoon of dry herb seasoning,
- 2 bay leaves,
- 250 g of dry meat,
- 50 g of rice,
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika,
- if necessary oil,
- pepper to taste
- water if necessary.
Homemade đuvec, preparation:
- Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into slices.
- Pour oil into a pan, add finely chopped onion, sauté, add grated carrot, then sauté it as well (adding a little water).
- Add diced dry meat, sweet paprika and simmer a little longer. Mix in dry herbs, add pepper, potatoes and rice, bay leaf, cover everything with water (enough to cover) and boil briefly (5 minutes).
- Pour into a refractory container (or tray) and place in a heated oven to bake at 180 degrees for about an hour.
Tip: It is not necessary to add salt, because dry meat is salty by itself. An old, traditional, proven good recipe.
