Homemade bread.

Homemade bread, ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 250 ml of water,
  • 1 level teaspoon of sugar,
  • 20 g of fresh yeast,
  • 1 full teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 tablespoon of homemade lard,
  • 500 g of flour.

To coat before baking:

  • water if necessary.

Homemade bread, preparation:

  • Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water, add sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, mix and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Pour flour into a deep bowl, add salt and mix.
  • Add the added yeast and, while mixing, add homemade lard and knead a softer dough.
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to rise.
  • Knead the resulting dough on a floured work surface and form a loaf.
  • Place in a rectangular mold lined with parchment paper.
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave to rise.
  • Cut the dough with a sharp knife on the surface in 4 places, cover with water and bake in a well-heated oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Take the finished bread out of the oven, take it out of the mold and wrap it in a large, clean kitchen towel.
  • Leave to cool.

Tip: if necessary, during baking, reduce the temperature so that the bread does not burn. I baked for 15 minutes at 200 degrees, then covered with aluminum foil and baked the bread for another 15 minutes at 200 degrees. Soft and very tasty bread. Try it, enjoy!
