Djuvec with pork meat - a quick lunch made from the ingredients you usually have in your kitchen...
- 300 g of pork (thigh, shoulder)
- 1 piece of onion (large head, finely chopped)
- 3 pieces of potatoes (2-3 pieces)
- 1 piece tomato (larger)
- 100 g of rice
- 1 piece of laurel (leaf)
- 1 piece of dry pepper
- parsley (leaf, to taste)
- celery (leaf, to taste)
- salt (to taste)
- beaver
- 1 tablespoon of dry spice
- 1 teaspoon allspice (full)
- oils (optional)
- 3 cloves of garlic (2-3 cloves)
- Fry the chopped onion in oil, add the meat cut into smaller pieces and simmer for a few minutes. When the meat is a little soft, add bay leaves, chopped tomatoes, chopped dry peppers, potatoes cut into small pieces, rice, salt, pepper, dry herbs and allspice.
- Mix everything well, then transfer to a suitable container (fireproof or another one with a lid), pour water to soak everything well, cover and put in the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove the lid (if all the water has evaporated add a little more hot water), add chopped parsley, return to the oven and bake for another ten minutes.
