Wild blackberry jam. In Martin Brod, there are wild blackberries everywhere, they just suck.
My friend Mira, whom we met a couple of years ago, gave us a 5 l bucket to pick blackberries. I look at the bucket and think, how long will it take us to collect a full bucket? My husband Rajko asks which direction we should go. Burnt star, it's really hot, the best way is through the forest. We could go to Rale by way of Jarapag, I said, and we set off... About a dozen blackberries in the mouth, a couple of blackberries in the bucket. But, in the end, by God, we picked a bucket full of blackberries...
Wild blackberry jam, ingredients:
- 5 kg of wild blackberries,
- 1 kg of sugar and
- 2 vanilla sugar.

Wild blackberry jam, preparation:
- Wash the blackberries and sprinkle with sugar. Blackberries are so juicy that I only added 1 kg of sugar.
- Cook the jam for about an hour, at a lower temperature in a wider pan, with occasional stirring.
- About ten minutes before the end of cooking, I added vanilla sugar.
- Pour the jam into sterilized jars, close with metal lids and pasteurize.
Store in the usual way. I think it will be eaten quickly, it is so pretty. It reminds me of blackberry candy.
