Strawberry jam.
Strawberry jam, ingredients:
- 1 kg of strawberries (peeled)
- 500 g of sugar
- 1 bag of vanilla sugar
Strawberry jam, preparation:
- Wash, clean and weigh the strawberries. Put them in a bigger and deeper pan.
- Grind with a stick mixer.
- Pour in the sugar. Cook at medium temperature.
- Stir occasionally and skim off the foam.
- Towards the end of cooking, add vanilla sugar.
- The jam is cooked when the colander leaves a mark on the bottom of the pan. Or put a spoonful of jam on a tray, cool and check if it is thick enough.
- Put the washed and dry jars in the oven, turn it on at 100 degrees. After about half an hour, take out the jars, leave them to cool down for a few minutes.
- Pour the warm jam into hot jars.
- Return to the warm (but switched off) oven for another 15 minutes. Take out, close the jars, wrap them in a towel and leave them to cool completely.
I cook jam from 2-3 kg of strawberries.
