Williamovka pear jam - to awaken the imagination and tickle the palate, a delicious jam with the addition of white pepper, freshly grated ginger and Williamovka brandy and lemon juice.

William pear jam, ingredients:

  • 2,500 g of William pears
  • 200 g of sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 75 ml of William brandy
  • 1 cm of freshly grated ginger
  • 0,5 teaspoons of white pepper
  • salt (on the tip of a knife)

William pear jam, preparation:

 

  1. Wash the pears, peel them and cut them into cubes. Cover them with lemon juice.

  2. Put the pears with lemon juice in a deep and large pot, add sugar, a pinch of salt, brandy and ground pepper and mix everything and let it simmer on a low temperature for about 35 minutes. Stir occasionally, five minutes before the end of cooking, add freshly grated ginger and let the flavors combine. Simmer for another 5 minutes. Remove the ready and hot jam from the stove and beat it with a stick mixer to get a thick mixture.
  3. Pour into hot jars. Pour water into the pot, put a cloth on the bottom of the pot, then put the jars and cook for 30 minutes.
