There is always, even a small possibility, that something will awaken the sleeping voyeur in us. The "yellow" press is always looking for ways to peek into the lives, apartments, bags and purses of famous people around the world. At the beginning of autumn, a book appeared Inside Chef's Fridge (Refrigerators of famous chefs), which awakened the mentioned voyeur in everyone who likes to cook and which brings us a unique view into the interior of the refrigerators of famous chefs!
The authors, Adrian Moore, writer and assistant head of reception at the Mandarin Oriental Paris Hotel, and Carrie Solomon, writer and photographer, chose to show us the inside of the refrigerators of 40 famous chefs in their book. The contents of their refrigerators reveal strange and local ingredients, sometimes hinting at some of the mysterious ingredients of some of the famous dishes, which famous chefs jealously guard. Some of them are organized down to the smallest detail, and some, surprisingly, have no sense of organization at all. For some, a refrigerator is a way to present themselves and the food they prepare in the best possible way, as if they were in their restaurants, not at home.
The author duo spent more than a year traveling through Europe to visit all the famous chefs who participated in the creation of this unusual book, and who in total have 60 Michelin stars for their culinary achievements. Each fridge is shown with a superb photo, along with interesting comments about each ingredient. A book Refrigerators of famous chefs (name of the original Inside Chef's Fridges, published by TASCHEN © 2015), will be one of the favorite bestsellers in the coming period, we are sure.
