The fourth edition of the World Italian Cuisine Week is being held in Serbia from November 18 to 24, organized by the Italian Embassy in Belgrade in cooperation with Italian institutions and companies in Serbia. Kitchen week was marked by gastronomic workshops by chef Eros Pic, crowned with a Michelin star, at the Secondary Tourist School in New Belgrade. The students were presented with the preparation of traditional Italian dishes such as "pasta carbonara", a lamb dish with cheese and eggs, specialties from southern Italy, as well as desserts from Piedmont and Calabria.
The Confindustria of Serbia in cooperation with the airline Alitalia celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Rome-Belgrade flight, at the Courtyard by Marriot hotel, as part of the event called "Italian cuisine among the clouds". This event was attended by the Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Carlo Lo Caso, Andrea Orizio, head of the OSCE mission in Serbia, as well as Tomaž Kavčič, one of the best chefs today. On that occasion, numerous personalities from the public life of Serbia competed in cooking. The victory was won by the team consisting of Duško Krsmanović, founder of the company Flagship, Public Affairs & Strategic Communications, and Sandra Nedeljković, deputy director of the Office for Public Investment Management of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
In addition, from November 14 to 27, supermarkets in Serbia Mercator, Idea and Roda are promoting Italian products in specially dedicated sectors of stores. Mercator dedicated a special event to the promotion of Italian products with a music program and food tasting.
The program of the fourth Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is held in 110 countries around the world, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, and is linked to the campaign "Contributo emergenza acqua". This campaign of the municipality of Venice is intended to help the city that has been severely damaged due to large inflows of water, and will be mentioned at every event, with a review of the previous days and suggestions for help.
