Gazelini roščići - Dijana Popović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Gazelini roščići - a wonderful recipe from Moroccan cuisine in my kitchen today. These are crescent-shaped cookies filled with almond or date filling, rose water or orange blossom water is added to the dough.

Gazelle's roščići, ingredients:

  • 400 g of flour
  • 100 g of ground blanched almonds
  • 150 g of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of rose water
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt

File:

  • 100 g of blanched ground almonds
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 50 g of butter
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of rose water

Gazelle's roščići, preparation of the filling:

  • Mix almonds with sugar, butter and a little cinnamon.
  • Add rose water and combine into a thick mixture.

Gazela's roščići, preparation of dough for roščići:

  • Beat butter at room temperature with sugar, vanilla sugar and egg.
  • Whisk to obtain a foamy mass.
  • Add vanilla sugar and rose water.
  • Add the ground almonds and the remaining flour.
  • Knead a fine smooth dough.
  • Leave the dough to cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Roll out thin dough and cut into circles.
  • Put some almond filling on the bottom circle, then cover with another circle.
  • With a glass or a smaller metal mold, cut out 4 small crescents.
  • Do the same with the remaining dough.
  • Arrange the cut crescents on baking paper and bake at 150 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Be careful not to burn.
  • Gazelle's roščići should be white.
  • Roll the hot baked roščiće into powder.
  • The filling for roščići can also be with dates.
