Gibanica from broken bark - completely unplanned, I bought broken crusts for pies and pies. There were no others at that moment, so I was forced to buy the ones that were available. And I can tell you that I liked the pita-gibanica prepared this way. When it comes to these ingredients, there's nothing that can't be good, right ;)?

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 dl yogurt
  • 1 dl oil
  • 4 spoons of semolina
  • 500 g of cheese of your choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 500 g of broken peels
  • salt as needed
  1. First, separate one part from the crust, which you will line the baking sheet with. Estimate the amount you will need based on the size of the pan you will be baking the pie with.
  2. Beat eggs, yogurt and oil, then add baking powder, semolina, crumbled cheese and pieces of crust. Mix the mixture well. If the cheese is salty, there is no need to add salt.
  3. Lubricate the tray with oil, cover it with pieces of crust and pour the whipped mixture.
  4. Spread the mixture nicely on the dough, but do not press down, let it remain in mounds. Make bigger hills along the edge of the tray.
  5. Bake the gibanica at 200 degrees for about half an hour, or rather until it gets a golden-brown color.
  6. If you wish, you can sprinkle the pie with sesame, cumin, flax seeds...
  7. I advise you to bake this gibanica in a large baking tray, about 28 cm in diameter. It is better when it is thinner, it is more airy.
