Gibanica with cheese - Gvozdena Živković - Recipes and Cookbook online

Gibanica with cheese - you can serve this delicious gibanica for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Gibanica with cheese, ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg of fuller crusts
  • 300 grams of cheese
  • 2 dl thick yogurt
  • 2 dl of sour water
  • 3 heaping tablespoons of lard
  • 3 pieces of eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Gibanica with cheese, preparation:

  • Beat eggs, add crushed cheese and yogurt. Combine everything, add sour water at the end.
  • Mix everything well again.
  • Grease the tray in which you will bake the gibanica.
  • Roll out the crust, spread 3 tablespoons of filling and 1/2 tablespoon of melted fat over the crust. Fold the left and right sides to the middle of the crust. Fill the folded crust with another spoonful of filling. Roll up the crust and arrange in a baking tray.
  • Repeat until you use up the crusts, leaving 2-3 tablespoons of filling for coating the gibanica.
  • Heat the oven to 200 degrees, bake the gibanica for about twenty minutes until it turns yellow.

Cover the baked gibanica with a cloth napkin and let it "rest" a little. Serve warm gibanica, you can add yogurt or sour cream as a side dish.
