Buttons, ingredients:
- 500 g of potatoes,
- 2 eggs,
- 400 g of flour and a little more.
From fruits:
- about 30 pieces of pitted plums
For twisting:
- 250 g breadcrumbs,
- 7 spoons of crystal sugar.
Gomboce, preparation:
- Clean and cut the potatoes into cubes and boil.
- Drain the boiled potatoes and mash them as for puree.
- Add a spoonful of fat or oil, a little salt and mix.
- Leave the mashed potatoes to cool.
- Add 2 eggs and flour to the cooled potatoes to knead the dough.
- Take a ball of dough and spread it. Put a plum or apricot in the middle and make a dumpling. When making the dumplings, sprinkle the balls and hands with flour so that they do not stick. Repeat until the dough is used up.
- Pour water into a large pot, add one spoonful of salt and let it boil.
- Put the dumplings in the boiled water and when it boils again, cook for another 5 minutes and roll them in breadcrumbs, mixed with sugar and rolled.
- Breadcrumbs can also be fried in fat or oil and when it cools down, add sugar and mix, or just mix breadcrumbs and sugar, whatever you like.
