Grillijash wafer with chopped walnuts.

  • 2 wafer sheets (larger)
  • 600 gr. sugar (300 gr + 300 gr)
  • 250 gr, margarine
  • 4 pieces of egg
  • 350 gr. walnuts (chopped)
  1. Pour 300g into a suitable container. sugar and heat at a moderate temperature until it caramelizes. During this time, do not stir the sugar at all, just shake the pan occasionally, otherwise the sugar would curdle. When all the sugar has dissolved, put one piece of margarine cut into pieces so that it melts faster. Only now start mixing. While the margarine is melting, beat the eggs with 300g. sugar and gradually add to the caramelized mass with continuous mixing. When the egg mixture starts to curdle, add finely chopped walnuts and fry everything together for 5 to 10 minutes.

  2. The mass is ready when the soldering iron is run over the bottom of the pan and leaves a mark. Spread the cooled filling on the larger side of the wafer sheet and cover it with another wafer sheet. Place an item of the best book over the wafer so that the filling fits and the wafer tightens better.
