Recipes for goulash are different and are determined by the cuisine in which they are created (Vienna goulash, Hungarian goulash, etc...). All these recipes have their own peculiarities, but also a lot of similarities. This is a recipe for Wiener Gulaschsuppe.

  • 2 heads of onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram (spice)
  • 3 spoons of flour
  • 3 spoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (spice, hot)
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 750 g of beef
  • 750 ml broth (beef)
  • 200 g of bacon
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • so
  1. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the bacon into small cubes. In a pot for cooking goulash, heat oil and fry garlic and onion and bacon.
  2. Cut the veal into bite-sized cubes. Add to the pot and fry for a few minutes. Add flour and marjoram.
  3. Add the tomato puree and parika, and fry a little. Pour in the beef broth. (optional, in the absence of beef broth, add 750 ml of water and a beef cube). Cook for 40-60 minutes at a moderate temperature.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Serve the stew warm, with a piece of black bread, and garnished with fresh parsley leaves.
