Thick strawberry juice - homemade juices are always better quality and tastier than purchased ones (if you ask me). Especially because when preparing homemade juices, you can influence the amount of sugar and acids.
I don't add acid to most juices, I mean artificial citric acid. If some fruit needs extra sourness, I squeeze a little lemon juice over it when serving. Strawberries are tart enough on their own so there's no need to add anything.
Sometimes I add sugar, sometimes not. It all depends on how sweet the strawberries are. When I prepare juice that needs to stand longer, I add a little more sugar to partially preserve the juice. Preparing this thick strawberry juice is very simple.

Thick strawberry juice - home-made juices are always better quality and tastier than bought ones (if you ask me). Especially because when preparing homemade juices, you can influence the amount of sugar and acids.
- 1 kg of strawberries
- 1,5 liters of water
- 100 g of sugar (or to taste)
- Blend the strawberries. Pour water into the resulting slurry, mix and strain through cheesecloth or a colander.
- Add sugar and cook for a few minutes when the juice boils.
- Pour it into bottles and store in the refrigerator until use.
