Bread with spinach.

Bread with spinach, ingredients:

  • 1 kg of flour,
  • about 500 g cooked and chopped spinach or Swiss chard,
  • 300 g of small cheese,
  • 1 dl of oil,
  • 1 cube of yeast,
  • 2 teaspoons of salt,
  • 1 spoon of sugar,
  • about 4 dl of water.

Bread with spinach, preparation:

  • Wash, blanch and strain the spinach. Finely chop the strained and cooled spinach.
  • Put the flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a deep bowl. Mix everything and add oil, cheese and chopped spinach. Mix and add lukewarm water slowly and if necessary. Depending on how much you drained the spinach, you may need more or less water. Therefore, pour a little at a time so that the dough does not turn out too thin. You have to judge that for yourself.
  • Mix everything well and knead a smooth, bread dough that will not be too hard.
  • Leave the dough to rest for about 30 minutes or until it doubles in volume. Form a loaf, transfer it to the baking pan, line the pan with baking paper and let it rest a little longer.
  • Bake in a preheated oven.
  • Enjoy every bite!
