Dry vegetables and mineral water, a winning combination

I enjoy making bread, and especially when I come up with a new recipe. Like this bread I have not prepared until now.

Regardless of the fact that it contains vegetables, it can also be used in sweet combinations.

Bread with dried vegetables, ingredients:

  • 230 g of black flour type 950
  • 150 g flour type 500
  • 100 g of red lentil flour
  • 20 g of ground dry vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon of dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2,5 dl of mineral water (recommended Radenska Classic mineral water)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil.

    *I usually buy dry vegetables and grind them (with a stick mixer, in a coffee grinder...).

*If you don't have red lentil flour, you can replace it with chickpea flour.

Red lentil flour has a powdery texture, so you can replace it with starch (thickness). In any case, it will not be a problem if you use regular flour (type 400 or type 500) instead of the mentioned flour.

Bread with dried vegetables, preparation:

  • Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl in which you will knead the dough.
  • Make a well and add the exact ingredients.
  • Knead a smooth dough.
  • Wrap it well and keep it in a warm place until it doubles in size.
  • Knead it, shape it into bread, put it in a mold, wrap it again and keep it in a warm place until it rises.
  • Bake it in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 40 minutes.

Before baking, you can decorate the bread with rings of dried tomatoes (optional).
