Dutch bread - bread with a crispy cracked crust, with a specific appearance and easy to prepare.

Necessary ingredients for bread preparation:

  • 700 g flour
  • 1 spoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 25 g of fresh yeast
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 dl of lukewarm water
  • 2 dl of lukewarm milk

Ingredients for coating unbaked bread:

  • 1 teaspoon of dry yeast
  • 150 g of corn flour
  • 200ml of lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 spoons of sugar
  • 1 spoon of salt

Dutch bread, preparation:

  • Pour half of the flour into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add crushed yeast, salt, sugar, oil.
  • Mix lukewarm milk and water, then knead a fine, smooth dough, adding the remaining flour.
  • Leave the dough to rise.
  • For coating: add flour, yeast, salt, sugar and lukewarm water to a bowl.
  • Knead the resulting dough and coat it with the coating mixture.
  • Leave it for 70 minutes.
  • Bake the bread in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees, then reduce the oven to 150 degrees and bake for another 20 minutes.
