Chrono cauliflower moussaka - Javorka Filipović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Chrono cauliflower moussaka - I often peek into the chrono world, I love pastries that are eaten in the chrono diet, and this time I decided on cauliflower moussaka.

There is no fat, the meat is cooked in water, there is no milk, and I only used egg whites, although it can be done without it. I liked this way of preparing moussaka because it is somehow lighter, without fat and milk and I enjoyed my lunch.

Chrono cauliflower moussaka - I often peek into the chrono world, I love pastries that are eaten in the chrono diet, and this time I decided on cauliflower moussaka.

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 300 g of beef (minced)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 egg white
  • mineral carbonated water (if necessary)
  • parsley leaf (dried)
  • Origan
  1. Clean the cauliflower from the outer leaves, wash it well and tear it into florets.
Boil cauliflower in salted water. Be careful not to overcook, 5 minutes of cooking is enough. Immediately drain it from the water to finish cooking.
  2. Sauté the finely chopped onion in a little water until it becomes glassy and add the minced meat.
Sauté it for a few minutes to change color and season it.
  3. Cover the refractory or ceramic dish with a layer of cauliflower, put the meat and spread the remaining cauliflower on top. Pour the moussaka prepared in this way with mineral carbonated water so that the contents are soaked in it.
  4. If you are on a diet or have an intolerance to eggs, then this is your moussaka prepared for baking. If not, you can cover it with beaten egg whites with a little mineral sparkling water.
  5. Bake moussaka in an oven heated to 220 degrees until the water boils. It will take about 40 minutes.
Cool the moussaka a bit and serve. Enjoy a light lunch.
