Belgrade, 06.03.2017. The beginning of the tenth anniversary "Magic Breakfast" was marked today a symbolic competition in the preparation of a meal - the Magical Breakfast prepared by the representatives Credit Agricole Serbia, METRO Cash & Carry, City of Belgrade and a team composed of media representatives. After awarding the awards for the most magical, the most creative, the healthiest i the most delicious magical breakfast, the mascot of this action, Vila Dobrila, treated all those present with her celebratory cake.
In addition to the representatives of the participating companies, the event was also attended by Andreja Mladenović, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade.
This year's "Magic Breakfast" lasts until March 16 and aims to collect as much food as possible for 35 schools for children with developmental disabilities throughout Serbia, and is organized by Crédit Agricole Bank Serbia, METRO Cash & Carry Serbia, in cooperation with the Secretariat for Education and Child Protection of the City Administration of the City of Belgrade and the non-governmental humanitarian organization Banka Hrane. As part of today's event, a team of chefs led by master chef Uroš Urošević prepared meals for 100 students of the "Dušan Dugalić" school, which were delivered to the children on the same day.
"I'm always happy to join actions that have a humanitarian character, and I think it's important to draw the public's attention to certain sensitive categories of the population in this way." All children should have the same rights, and it is up to us to help them and enable them to have a happy childhood," said Siniša Mali, Mayor of Belgrade.
"We are very proud that A magical breakfast today marks its first big anniversary. Ten such actions and over 60 tons of food that we collected testify that our long-term effort to draw attention to the problems of children here has borne fruit and that solidarity with socially oppressed groups has shown itself in action", said Carlos de Kordu, President of the Executive Board of Crédit Agricole banks.
During the campaign, customers in METRO Cash & Carry facilities in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, Šabac, Užice, Požarevac and Palić will have the opportunity to purchase specially formed packages of Villa Dobrila, at a price of 290 dinars, to provide groceries for children in schools, which will be distributed by the Food Bank evenly, according to the number of students.
