Belgrade, 02.03.2017. We inform the public that the sanitary inspector of the Department for Sanitary Inspection, Department for Sanitary Supervision for the Border Area of Belgrade, issued a decision to the importer "Alca trgovina" doo from Belgrade, banning the import of dietary products, food for infants and small children "HIP Bio Instant porridge - rice flakes", 20g net, lot: 6001791, exporter HIPP GmbH & Co. Export KG Austria, because the said product does not meet the requirements of the Law on Food Safety ("Official Gazette of the RS", No. 41/2009) and the Rulebook on the Healthiness of Dietary Products ("Official Gazette of the RS", No. 45/ 2010, 27/2011, 50/2012, 21/2015, 75/2015, 7/2017), in terms of increased arsenic content.
The laboratory analysis was carried out by the authorized and accredited laboratory of the Belgrade City Institute of Public Health, and the importer declared that he did not want a superanalysis of the subject sample.
The decision ordered that the shipment in question be returned to the supplier or destroyed in a safe manner through an authorized organization.
