Interview with... Leon Šurbanović, protector of the Petrovaradin fortress
Interview with... Leon Šurbanović, protector of the Petrovaradin fortress

We were guests at the urban legend of Novi Sad: Leon Šurbanović, is the patron of the Petrovaradin fortress.

The topic of the protection of the Petrovaradin Fortress is in focus these days, and with the fact that we have known Leon for 5 years, it was the right sign and the right moment to visit Leon Šurbanović on a rainy February day, and together with him "dive" into the depths and secrets of the Fortress . You can find all the details, not mentioned in this interview, on the Facebook page: Catacombs and underground of Petrovaradin fortress.

Who is Leon Šurbanović? It would take a lot of time and space to describe it... Award-winning creator of the idea of a website with 3D display, "lander", web and graphic designer with thousands of clients in Serbia and abroad, "city knight" of Novi Sad, UGRIP, and what else ? "What a lion, a terrible lion..." (quote by Duško Radović, author's note) - Leon Šurbanović, is a "LION" and a Big Lion, head and beard...

Your project lazeteleckog.com (3D Serbia) at the Web Fest in 2010 received the award for the best multimedia project. And now, instead of an awarded site, we see a "death note" on the front page?

website www.lazeteleckog.com was declared in 2010 as the best multimedia solution in Serbia and the Balkans. The most competent people in the IT world, at the Web Fest, declared this project as a new multimedia solution, with great potential for presentations of cities and new tourist destinations. The project, on the initiative of people from abroad, was presented in Brussels, Bern, Venice, Kiev and Odessa. Unfortunately, he did not receive support from the state of Serbia and the city of Novi Sad. In addition to many years of propaganda and independent investment, due to the huge number of visitors to the site of several million people and very expensive hosting, I was forced to stop financing the deaf Novi Sad with my own funds, which does not tolerate success. I simply deleted the site from the internet sky due to a bunch of unanswered emails and projects and hung a death certificate that still says:

"It is with a sad heart that we announce to all true consumers that 2012 is the street

LAZE TELECKO

She passed away after many years of desecration, destruction of the cultural and spiritual heritage of Ruzmarinovo sokak, by the spread of kitsch, junk, as well as the lack of support of the city and city leaders to develop the vision of 3D Land into a new cultural tourist destination, which will not be a reflection, meeting place of primitivism, new investors, political scum and newly minted businessmen who, together with quasi-modo architects, are redesigning the city, but the very adaptation and modern projection of old crafts, beer bars, taverns, theaters, promenades and everything that the great men of the former town bequeathed to us remains only one of the many captured ideas for a better tomorrow .

MOURNERS:

Kole Private Pandur, Mikika with her family, Pirika, Mike Steva krasta, Bracika, Steva Pesnik and many others 3 points"

These grieving characters are regular city sneaks and street legends of the city. A parody was made of their silence.

I assume that your current activities on the protection of the Petrovaradin Fortress are a logical continuation of the lazeteleckog.com (3D Serbia) project?

There is nothing left in Novi Sad, a city that is running for EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE in 2021. Novi Sad no longer has anything to boast about! Today, it is an aborted city, a quasi-mode of urban planners and architects, who are connected to politicians and investors through small intestines, and thus represent an "institute for the dismantling and destruction of the city". By selective and arranged, deliberate deterioration of the city, removal of protection from many protected buildings, the old core of the city was reduced to three streets.

The last oasis, the last station, the last line of defense - is the Petrovaradin fortress. It is therefore my last, I know, successful move, to win the battle in our favor, to do good for our city and country. This victory will be an example, which will spin an avalanche of other battles for a better tomorrow.

What is the Petrovaradin fortress hiding?

Petrovaradin Fortress hides a lot that the public has never heard or seen. It is about the fact that the fortress was opened for the civilian population only after World War II, in fact, after about a decade, to use, visit and enjoy its viewpoint.

All documentation that existed is located in several locations. It is mostly represented in the War Archives of Vienna, in the castles of Austria, the monasteries of Fruška Gora and a small part, in museums in Novi Sad.

What is interesting is that most of the archive material was burned when the soldiers were warming themselves on it, as well as the fact that the archive was secretly stolen and taken to locations, the so-called vaults of Europe, which today selfishly keep it all. In the deficit of knowledge and literature, and thirsty for new information, the expedition gathered over a hundred like-minded people, who collect the same from many sides and selflessly share it, for the sake of educating the entire citizenry.

Are you working on this project yourself and who is helping you?

99 percent I was alone in the project, which is huge and consists of exactly 7 units: 1. education, 2. entertainment, 3. social games, 4. souvenirs, 5. tourism, 6. ecology-recycling-action, 7. ecological house, and which, all together, include hundreds of projects, on which I have been working for almost two decades.

That, remaining, 1%, today constitutes the army of my best friends and new energies that recognized my essence and their hidden energy trapped in today's insanity. That one percent is worth a lot and is getting bigger, so in this way, I take off the huge burden that I carry and translate it into action, realizing that from those who are officially competent - there is no bread. The strength is in the unification of ideas, intangible moment, selfless exchange, energy, good, unusual, very original and unique time, full of love and awareness among all of us, who truly love ENES.

You often use the term UGRIP, can you explain to us what it means?

UGRIP was born quite by accident. On one occasion, I received an email from my good, decades-long friend Zoran Ješić, a photographer, who told me: "Well done, Leon, for everything you do regarding the fortress and our city, kudos to you, thank you for the good energy, which you share unreservedly, I wish you success in everything you have started and imagined. I see you as the only city knight".

Ever since I was little, I breathed in the beauty of Novi Sad and was proud of it. I defended him in various ways and everywhere, abroad, where I traveled, lived and resided, spoke praises of him and presented him, as befits him. Unfortunately, in the last couple of decades, we are aware of the "urbicide" of the city. Like that one city knight, flattered by the title, given by my friend Ješić, I am aware of the love and destructive power of my energy, as an initial capsule, whose revolution will reverberate.

Around me I gathered like-minded, good and honorable people, who make up UGRIPE. The word "UGRIP" actually means: Ubeaten Gerila Rethnics from Pout of the country. That's how we perceive ourselves. The army of positive people is growing every day, and the awareness of Novi Sad and Petrovaradin and its surroundings is simply waking up.

Is it easy to make "dives", as you call each descent into the underground of the Fortress?

In our dictionary there are many internal terms, which have their own meaning. Each word and name has its own author and is related to street slang, similar to English Cockney. In addition to "diving" or descending into the bowels of the fortress, there are internal names: "almost jump", "almost fall", "banana", "aronda", "cig's corridor", "school tunnels", "black tunnels", "wolf's room" ", "vultures", "three windows", and many other interesting names, which have their own, really specific story.

What does the preparation for the descent look like? Do you use any special food as part of the preparation?

Preparing for the descent is not at all simple and requires serious concentration, in terms of organization.

Each dive requires the preparation of equipment, food and water that goes with us. These include: a battery, a spare battery in case the first one fails, over seven cartridges for those same batteries, which are used to replenish energy, a match, a lighter, a laser, tear gas and a knife as a cold weapon against wild animals, which are hidden below, and survive (foxes, badgers...).

Then, a kidney belt, which is wrapped around the stomach and back, a hat, three layers of clothing (a T-shirt, short sleeves and two hooded sweatshirts, in case of a bat infestation), a bottle of water or tea, lemon juice, as well as ashov in case of collapse of the corridor. There is a cloth, alcohol, bandages, plasters and other first aid equipment. Each dive lasts at least a couple of hours, and therefore the energy invested in research requires the input of a certain type of energy.

Personally, for every expedition, I prepare my so-called energy bombs, which are eaten in combination with some ground fruit or as an already prepared energy bomb.

You are a supporter of healthy eating, which concept did you opt for, or is it something completely different?

Many years ago researching nutrition and health, I realized that our body is divided into acid, medium and base. Everything is like a semicircle, which goes from a scale of 0 to 14.

It is important that you are always above 7,4 ph, that is, that you work on the alkalinity of the organism. If you have given yourself the right to spoil yourself with alcohol or during the weekend going out with cigarettes and strong food, it is important that you do not take a similar step in the next few days, but rather make the body a base and cancel the acidity of the organism. In fact, the point is not to ingest anything that acidifies the body and to create a balance, so that the body's immunity is strong and ready to respond to unwanted guests.

Do you think there is a connection between diet and health? What are your experiences?

And how there is a close connection between diet and health. Nutrition is exclusively and only one honest and real thing to health.

Health is physical activity and vegetables, health is nature, not design. Perfect and ornate design, today has caused that everything that shines and entices in super-mega markets, with astronomical figures, represents the very top of "quality" in the food chain.

My experiences speak of the fact that my grandmothers, whom I have known since elementary school, with two hectares of black under their fingernails, represent "bingo" at the Fish Market in Novi Sad. The same grandmothers and housewives are direct distributors of health and super positive energy.

My experiences are enormous, because, unfortunately, I was forced to start doing this professionally, in addition to hobby and curiosity, playing the game of life and death. I experimented on my father. The famous European goal scorer in rugby, Aleksandar Šurbanović, fell ill with cancer at the age of 78. In addition to the 9 cm liver cancer, he had 6 more metastases, prostate cancer, lymph node cancer, blood cancer, lung cancer, bronchial cancer and bone cancer. He was a medical case and a phenomenon. Broken arms after a fall and diagnosed by an "expert" (quasimodo copy-paste doctor), I was told in confidence that my father had a few days left to live, up to a maximum of a few months. Immediately after the diagnosis, I started with my "bombs". In less than a week, he was transferred from the stretcher to the wheelchair, from the wheelchair to crutches, from the crutches, he left the polyclinic by himself, without our help. We continued with home care and the results were more than good. Unfortunately, cancer, as the biggest opponent of the world's population, won in this case, only for one reason - because the father came late for diagnostics. With alternative treatment, together with the mother, girlfriend and father as an extremely disciplined patient, we managed to get rid of 4 cancers. After 11 months of championship fighting, the father simply passed out, because his body and age could not stand it, the medical case had already been written off at that time.

Which national cuisine is your favorite/suits you the most?

My favorite cuisine is the cuisine of people from the east. It is simple, based on vegetables and fish. It is basic, light and very caloric. This type of food is a stimulus and the way to a long and quality life.

Do you have a favorite chef / restaurant in Novi Sad?

My favorite chefs are Antonio and Gennaro, but I'm also a fan of Jamie Olivera. That combination of relaxation, humor combined with the indigenous recipes of Italy are a perfect combination for my cerebral region and all senses.

Finally, what is your favorite dish that you prepare yourself? What is your favorite dish in a restaurant

My favorite dish is my onion soup, which is a real work of art of the best antibiotic in the world. In restaurants, I prefer salads and fish.
