Getting this flattering recognition was not easy - in the competition of the 5 most viewed recipes in 2015, it was necessary to secure the best marks from all the members of the jury, as well as from the other competitors...
What is it like to be a culinary blogger in Serbia?
When did you start cooking?
In my early 20s, I started getting interested in cooking, but when I later started a family, it became an everyday thing.
How did you decide to start your blog "Nene's kitchen magic" and when did it happen?
I have been writing a gastroblog since February 2011, with the desire to photograph, present and publish everything I make in one place. Something that will primarily benefit my daughter Tamara, but also all those who love cooking.
In your opinion, what can you surprise your blog visitors with?
The variety of dishes I prepare.
What makes your blog "Nene's Kitchen Magic" different from others?
On the blog you can find recipes from my notebook, but also many others that I have tried.
I like to cook the old forgotten dishes of the Pirot region, where my parents come from, where I grew up.
Also, I like to make sweets, but making small lentil cakes is a great pleasure for me, but also a challenge because they are quite difficult to make.
I am a fan of Turkish and Chinese cuisine.
Who has had a decisive influence on the way you prepare food?
The decisive influence was the mother. I learned everything gradually and whenever I needed advice I called her first.
What is your favorite recipe that you have posted on your blog that has had the most views?
The post "Suggestion for lean pies and rolls" definitely had the most views, as well as Waffle griller. All the recipes that are published are my favorites, I don't discriminate.
How much time, on average, do you spend working on your blog during the day?
I'm busy, so I can't fully devote myself to the blog. I spend every free moment editing it.
If you could do an interview for your blog, who would you like it to be with?
It would definitely be Rudolph Van Veen, and I like Lorraine Pascal and Gordon Ramsay.
Did your life change, and how much, when you started a culinary blog?
Not much, except that I have less free time. Of course, I met a lot of bloggers who are fantastic at what they do and with whom I hang out a lot.
How do you see the future of your blog "Nene's Kitchen Magic"?
As one big collection of recipes, which I will share with all lovers of good food.
