Belgrade, April 6, 2017 - As part of the tenth anniversary humanitarian project "Magic Breakfast", which is organized by Crédit Agricole Banka Srbija, METRO Cash & Carry Srbija, in cooperation with the Secretariat for Education and Child Protection of the City Administration of the City of Belgrade and the non-governmental humanitarian organization Banka Hrane, a total of 8,732 tons of food was collected for schools for children with developmental disabilities throughout Serbia. Also, on this occasion, 559 packets were sold in METRO facilities, which will be delivered to schools and thus provide an additional meal for students.
This year's action, which lasted from March 1 to 16, provided an additional meal for 35 schools for children with developmental disabilities throughout Serbia, and as part of the event held at the beginning of March, a team of chefs from the METRO HoReCa Center prepared meals for 100 students of the "Dušan Dugalić" school, which were delivered to the children on the same day.
As part of the "Magic breakfast" campaign, the participating companies donated products and funds for the youngest, in which Serbian citizens also participated, by paying into Banka Hrana's account at Crédit Agricole bank and by purchasing specially formed packages in METRO chain facilities.
During all these years, "Magic Breakfast" has helped to provide approximately 70 tons of food for children with developmental disabilities for 35 schools for children with developmental disabilities from Serbia and thus support the natural family in improving the quality of life of minor children.
