14.01. Little Christmas is celebrated, that is, Basil's Day and the celebration of the New Year. Vasilica was named after Saint Basil. It can be salty or sweet, but one thing is common, it is kneaded with a lot of love and eaten warm on Little Christmas.

Knead Vasilica, go outside and look at the sky.

How to mix Vasilica, ingredients:

  • 20 g of yeast,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1 kg of flour,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 500 ml of lukewarm water and
  • 50 ml of oil.

How to knead Vasilica, prepare:

  • Put the yeast to rise with a teaspoon of sugar and flour in a little lukewarm water.
  • Mix it with flour, spit and water and knead the dough. Let it rise for about half an hour, then move it.
  • Leave it to rest for about half an hour, grease and flour the pan, put the dough and bake at 220 degrees for about 40 minutes, reduce it to 160 degrees and bake for another 20 minutes.
