The tourist season in Bela Crkva opens with an international event Carnival of flowers, which has a tradition of over 150 years.
The first written mention of the carnivals in Bela Crkva dates from 1852, when the carnivals were held on the occasion of carnival festivities.
Today, the "Carnival of Flowers" is a multidisciplinary manifestation and represents a combination of tourism and economy in which local, regional and other segments are involved in order to promote the White Church and its potential, as well as the entire region.
The whole city participates in the preparation of the carnival, and the streets and facades are decorated especially for this occasion.
The program of the Carnival of Flowers is seven days long and every year the Carnival of Flowers is held in the last week of June.
It includes the exhibition of flowers in open and closed spaces, in flower yards, gardens, terraces, with the selection and awarding of the most beautiful, musical and other cultural festivities dedicated to flowers and carnivals, exhibitions, promotions, media presentations and other programs and activities appropriate to the festival and place events, cultural programs related to the multinationality of this area, i.e. cultural and artistic programs based on the languages, folklores and customs of national minorities, as well as the hosting of carnival and singing groups and folklore associations.
A special event is the end of the carnival - a parade with exhibits that are prepared months in advance especially for this occasion, and in addition to the exhibits, there are also majorettes, as well as participants from all the carnival cities of Serbia and abroad, and after the parade, fireworks are organized...
This year, as every previous year, a large number of visitors are expected to enjoy this event.
