Chestnut puree with whipped cream – one of my husband's favorite treats, and one of my top 10 🙂

  • 300 g of chestnuts
  • 2 spoons of sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 10 ml rum (or a few drops of cake concentrate)
  • 40 ml milk (or water, optional)
  1. If you are lucky enough to find peeled chestnuts, then preparing this dessert will not be a bit of a pain, but a real pleasure. If not, it will take a little longer, but it's definitely worth it 🙂
  2. Put the chestnuts in water to boil for about 35 minutes. If you have to peel it, do it while it's still warm, as it will be much easier.
  3. You can mash it with a puree or put it in a blender and run it several times until you get the desired consistency.
  4. Mix rum, sugar and vanilla sugar into the chestnuts.
  5. If you like a softer and creamier texture of this dessert, add about 40ml of milk if you are going to eat it right away, or water if you plan to freeze it for later.
  6. Mix well, put in glasses or bowls and decorate with whipped cream.
  7. Pleasant 😀
