Excellent recipe for cheese rolls, but you can also use the dough to fill with hot dogs and jam or whatever you likeI always do half/half. Half sweet, half salty. The quantity is enough for 4 people. Note, very easy to make, only the dough rests a lot 🙂

A great recipe for cheese rolls, but you can also use the dough to fill with hot dogs, jam or whatever you like. I always do half/half. Half sweet, half salty. The quantity is enough for 4 people. Note, it is very easy to make, only the dough rests a lot 🙂

  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 40 g of fresh yeast (or a bag of semi-dry, i.e. 15 g)
  • 2 pieces of egg white
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 spoon of salt
  • 150 ml yogurt (or 1 glass)
  • 850 grams of flour

File:

  • 60 g of cream
  • 60 g of cheese
  • 60 g of cheese spread
  • 30 g of butter

Coating:

  • 2 pieces of yolk
  • 1 tablespoons of oil
  • Sesame
  • margarine
  1. Add: sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour and yeast to the warm milk and let it rise.
  2. In a deep dish, beat egg whites, oil (3 tbsp.), salt and yogurt, then add flour and milk.
  3. Knead at least 30 times and let it rise for about half an hour. I usually knead about 100 times to make the dough as loose as possible.
  4. Sprinkle with flour and knead the dough, then roll it out into a circle. In this process, you can divide the dough into smaller balls and then roll them out. Cut the circles into triangles. In my experience, it is better if the triangles are bigger, because then the filling will not leak out of them and they will rise more nicely.
  5. Apply the filling to the wider part of the triangle and twist them from the wider to the thinner part.
  6. Arrange in a baking tray and coat with coating mixture (2 egg yolks, oil and 1 tbsp. milk) and place a margarine cube on top of each.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for about 18 minutes or until they get a nice orange color.
  8. The rolls can be eaten cold and will still be soft.
